Student Leader Global Summit Host Prospectus

The IASAS Student Leader Global Summit (SLGS) is an annual event that provides a global platform for student leaders from around the world to discuss student governance, equity, sustainability, leadership, mental health and well-being, or other topics of shared interest.

 

The 7th SLGS will be hosted at the University Cork College in Ireland from June 17-19, 2025. The 8th summit will be at the University of Gjirokastër in Albania and hosted with Western Michigan University in May 2026. For a history on the SLGS click HERE.

 

We invite applications to host a future Student Leader Global Summit in 2027 & 2028. Please complete the following application

 

Host Application

 

Attach a proposed budget (with the proposed registration cost, other revenue, and expenses). If you would like a sample budget, please contact us at enquiries@iasas.global  or slgs@iasas.global.

 

To help you further, you can find a draft schedule for a past summit. Yet, this does not have to be the same. The date for the summit is for you to decide as well.

Host Responsibilities

The host institution(s) usually takes responsibility for these items and activities, with support from and in collaboration with IASAS’s SLGS Organizing team. 


The responsibilities are:

  • Determine the registration fee, usually between 200-320 Euros, along with a budget

  • Suggest and structure the theme, program, and outcomes for the summit

  • Organize a student and staff team

  • Host local speakers and three IASAS facilitators (Organizing Team), including any costs

  • Provide meeting space, student and staff accommodations, AV equipment, food for the summit, and assist with transportation to and from the airport

  • Manage on-site registration process and supplies, gifts (optional)

  • Participate in virtual meetings with the IASAS SLGS, Organizing Team

IASAS responsibilities

IASAS assists with all processes and advises the host institution, based on past experiences. The responsibilities include:

  • Manage marketing and recruitment

  • Selection of Students

  • Schedule virtual meetings between the IASAS SLGS, Organizing Team, and host team

  • Assist with the program and other logistics

  • Assist with the facilitation of the SLGS

  • Website Management
